“Let My People Go:” EL BENTLEY 448 Salutes the Freedom Soldiers

EL BENTLEY 448, the stage name of Leon Benson, dropped a Freedom Day track, “Let My People Go.” “Written in prison, the song honors the struggles of YAH’s people,” EL BENTLEY 448 writes. It honors and, he continues:

“commemorates their fight for liberation—whether through the Transatlantic Slave Trade to modern-day movements. Let My People Go is a call for freedom and justice. Featuring soulful vocals by KADDY REBOS, this movement muzik anthem is set to uplift the oppressed and inspire change.”

Throughout the track, EL BENTLEY shouts out the names of those still unjustly incarcerated, whether behind prison bars or, like others, on parole terms that transform all of society into a cage.

You can watch Leon Benson’s first speech in Indianapolis one year after his March 2023 exoneration at the Indianapolis Liberation Center, of which Free Shaka Shakur is a member-organization, here.
